I did a lot of research before buying a bathroom scale and found that this one works very well and is calibrated within the tolerences specified. There is no problem in setting it up and is very user friendly.I found that it easy to use and that with each use the weight is the same without different reading each time I step on it. The numbers are easy to read and the scale is flat making it comfortable to step on and off.

My son wanted a scale at home to use before wrestling matches. I bought this one for him but he complained that it had an offset from the one they used at the school. Being an Engineer I gathered multiple dumbells of varing weights and tested them in all possible combinations from 20 lbs to 180 lbs. Then I plotted the results to get a linearity and accuracy specification.
I was very impressed. The school needs to buy one of these.

I haven't had other scales to compare this too, but I'm happy with my purchase. Did not have any issues upon receipt, and the initial set up went pretty smooth. This scale has a nice large display, and good features. If you set in your goal weight, the scale will give you the difference between your current weight and both your goal weight and last "weigh-in". Nice feature, without the fluff.
Easy to use... Before stepping on the scale, just press the up or down arrow button to select your user number (can preset goal weights for more than one person). Then press the set button. Wait a few seconds while the scale calibrates itself to zero. Once calibrated step on for your weigh-in. Only takes a few seconds to pinpoint your weight. When it is done, a small buzzer/beeper sounds, then the scale displays your current weight, along with the difference (+/-) in pounds between your current weight and goal weight, also the difference between your current weight and your last weight measurement. Scale turns itself off after a few seconds.
