This scale is accurate for weight, however,it is not as accurate in the bodyfat / water mode for those who bodybuild or have a higher percentage of muscle mass. Overall a good scale though.

Don't waste your money on this- buy something else. I find it to be extremely inconsistent- both with weight, and body fat percentage.

I bought this with the brand name Taylor in mind. What a disappointment this product ended up being. I know weight fluctuates but goodness by 11 pounds in day? I don't think so, and yes it was on a hard and level service. If I would of still had the packaging this would of certainly gone back. This may be just a defective scale but something is terribly wrong with this one. And for the money and other research that I did I guess I expected something more accurate. I am trying to lose weight and use the scale as my motivator to get up each morning and get the cardio in, but when the numbers on this scale go up and down by such a large degree each day.....something is wrong.

I bought this yesterday at a local store. It's a little hard to set up and even harder to delete a profile once you set it up. I guess you have to take the batteries out and put them back in and start over if you make a mistake setting it up. The instructions are marginal at best. There's an 8 on the reading and I could not figure out what the 8 meant. I guess it must mean % (percent). It would say 8F:29 on the readout. I guess that means %Fat:29, but I'm not sure as the instuctions do not say. Also I'm not sure the body fat works right. Most every other time I've had it checked I come up with a 26. This thing tells me I'm 29 and sometimes it says 30. I'm taking it back and getting a different kind.

I purchased this scale to see how much my running had paid off. I have lost 30 pounds and at 5'-10" I now weigh 151 lbs and I am very fit. I couldn't wait to check my body fat %. I liked the fact that the scale had an athletic mode because I thought that it would give a better reading of my body fat. After programming the scale, I tried it only to get the ERR3 code. I cleaned and moistened my feet as recommended in the manual only to continue to get the ERR3 code. Nothing I do will give me a body fat reading. Another reviewer, who was overweight, said this scale must only work for those that are "lean and fit". Well I am lean and fit and it still doesn't work. Now I have a very expensive digital scale. I wonder if it is really giving an accurate weight reading!! Don't by a Taylor bodyfat scale!!
